Stolen from my driveway!!!
Not my van. Not even anything I wanted.
Onto the story.
I save my 1 gallon jugs when I change my oil. My van has a Fumoto valve, so I can open it and drain directly into old 1 gallon containers. They are kept inside and look fresh from the store.
Yesterday, I changed my oil. Put the 4 1-gallon containers in front of my garage. Put the empty ones in the shop 'till next time. Drove around the block, checked for leaks, etc. Parked the van. Drove the car to AutoZone to get a new coolant cap. Came home and noticed 1 gallon (used oil) missing. I mean, come on it's 50' up the driveway between vehicles!
I would love to see his face when he pours 'fresh' oil into his engine. I kinda wish I had spiked the oil with heavy dose of degreaser or something.
Some people's children....I say that because we live 2 blocks from a university and blame everything on students.

Re: Stolen from my driveway!!!
I love it when a thief gets what he deserves. That's pretty weird though given the conditions you described. Sure you don't have a friend/family member messing around with you.
Stranger than fiction.

Re: Stolen from my driveway!!!
I'm sure it is not friends or family. Only my wife and I live here, and she was inside visiting with a gal pal.
Just short of unbelievable.

That would be a funny way to get even
Mike-when I read the subject, I thought oh no, not the van or your little Ford.

Around here, if you want to get rid of any junk, I'll set it out with a "for sale 5 bucks" sign on it.

Another Driveway Story
A friend looked at his Winnebago in his driveway and found the following things:
1. An Empty gas can
2. A pool of vomit
3. A siphon hose hanging out of the holding tank flush port...Instant Justice!

Re: Stolen from my driveway!!!
Can I bring my used oil over to your house??
It does though make you wonder. If I go in the house for 5 seconds should I lock everything up? If I run into the bathroom for a second (well at my age maybe 30 seconds) will the wrench set still be there when I come back out.

Re: Stolen from my driveway!!!
Do you like the Fumoto? I have often been tempted to get one, but sometimes worry about a prankster opening it - a long shot, I know.
