Stolen Transit Camper in PDX

No relation. Just saw this posted on reddit. Should be pretty easy to spot with the round-floodlight array on the roof rack.

Ouch, major major bummer. I'll be on the lookout when I'm out and about. Pretty much always looking out for vans anyway....

Man I hate seeing this. I'll be on the lookout in Southern Oregon.

Yes, a bummer.

Question: How does a 2018 Transit get stolen w coded key and other theft prevention devices/systems?

No idea in this case, but it seems like Portland has a very rate of "left my keys in the car" cases when they get stolen. Almost as bad as "Sorry I stole your Subaru. I forgot where I parked and what color mine was and my key worked in yours".

The land of peace love and happiness often turns into, what’s mine is mine and what’s yours is mine, all too often unfortunately.

To date I don't believe anyone has created any sort of real deterrent to someone who REALLY wants our stuff.

A tow truck with a driver who has extensive repo experience comes to mind though.............

Supposedly it was found on the Oregon coast. Unsure if the meth head thieves were found with it or not.

Hopefully this is a happy ending. Sadly, I just got an email that a gals GTRV was stolen last night in Oakland. I'm waiting for photos and a better description so I can post it.

Agree- unfortunate. But as someone born in Berkeley, raised and lives in Oakland.... "Why am I not surprised?". I mean, it is Oakland.
