40 years ago one evening I was driving on US Highway 50 about 30 miles east of Fallon, Nevada through a violent thunderstorm. A hole appeared in the cloud cover, giving me this rare view. This is normally a dry salt flat but the rain had covered it with an inch or so of water. I've never seen colors like this. Scan of Kodachrome slide.
