No doubt there will be a well attended memorial service. I'd like to make it, unfortunately it's doubtful, but I think RPA may be on to something. We should put together a trip to his favorite beachfront campsite in the Baja dunes where we could plant some sort of lasting memory of all the good times we shared there. I'm not sure what might survive, but some form of lasting tribute to his love for Baja and Sportsmobiles. Hopefully, we could get Jan to attend too.

I had always hoped to see Ramsey compete in, and win, his class in the Baja 500 or 1000.
To me, he just crossed the final finish line with the checkered flag waving him across.

RIP my friend. Thanks for the great memories and working your magic on both of my vans. You were such a generous person and already greatly missed!

Excellent idea. Maybe we could burry a box of momentos similar to a time capsul.

In just learned this sad news yesterday talking with 1der. I never met Ramsey or spoke to him but since 2007 I have always read his posts even if they had no direct connection to my van projects. He had a particular passion that came through in his writing. He touched many of us in different ways and his passing will leave an unfillable void.

When one of my Bronco group lost their life in service to our country over in Afghanistan, we took it hard, and let's just say there may be an unauthorized memorial of steel and concrete somewhere in a national forest near Big Bear. It has since turned into a memorial/geocaching spot that keeps his memory alive.

We have a much less serious, but similarly unauthorized, memorial for an old friend hidden somewhere above turn five at Laguna Seca Raceway.
Oh, and

Wow.
Devasted, shocked, saddened...
I like many others almost sold my Quigley before Ramsey's help. I was one of the initial customers. He even went as far to call me a year ago, to say they had changed the valving in the Fox shocks, and asked if I wanted mine changed. He happened to be in town and picked up my van from my house, drove it to the shop, and returned it when done.
Guy was a wealth of knowledge.
My heart aches, this is a devastating loss.
