VW Bus Limo

My delightful wife found this on Facebook. Looks like four busses, one bug and a lot of work went into it.

Re: VW Bus Limo

...I wonder what sort of motor...??

The stock length buses are pretty slow with stock engines, I can only imagine this one when the light turns green..with a bus-load of party people onboard..

Re: VW Bus Limo

Just feather that clutch for, say, 2 minutes?

Re: VW Bus Limo

You can certainly make these things boogie if you want, although these are pretty long, and when filled.....anyway, I had an orange/white '73 for a bit, got it from a kid who owed me some cash, engine seized up on my friend I was following after taking delivery, great! Another friend had a block from a 914, an 1800cc, had that engine rebuilt with bits and pieces from the old and several trips to the yard and that thing hauled!! I found and installed some interior pieces and had some purple paisley curtains sewn up, that was the ride to be in for the dead shows in Boston. Was sad to see it go......
