What Sci-Fi Movie Are We In?

I always liked Science Fiction movies. You know, where the world is ending because of some horrible thing and all the brave people live to create the New World.

After living in a Sci Fi movie lately, I’m not sure I’ll ever go back to watching them. Pandemic, Protests, and Wildfires. Even Hollywood wouldn’t have put all of these together.

I read an article today that really made me sad. A woman went back to her home in Talent, Oregon with a local reporter. Her one-liner: “There isn’t even anything to sift through.” It was all incinerated. I guess I can suck it up for awhile longer.

Ya, sometimes I feel like we’re not too far away from that.

Wasn't supposed to be a horror movie, but at this point Idiocracy seems prescient

Not a movie, but a short story - "The Year of the Jackpot" by Robert A Heinlein

More like a cross between The Walking Dead and Woody Allen's Sleeper.

One of my faves. It's got electrolytes.

Think I have to go with "Idiocracy," too -- just waiting for the administration to start recommending "Brawndo" to fight both Covid and wildfires because, you know,"it has electrolytes." No longer seems absurd given what we've already seen.
