Where is everyone?

Just got home. 12,736 miles from CA to Labrador/Newfoundland and return.

On the road we saw a total of 10 SMB's. Two were member's van (Jage and Lens) in their driveways. One was camped next to us in Yellowstone (not a member - yet), and two were camped in Yosemite, and one was REF flying across Utah towing his new trailer, one (White, 4wd, VA plates) in or near NY state, a white 4wd van with full Aluminess on a CO backroad, a 2 wd van in Nova Scotia and another 4wd in Canada.

We saw more air cooled VW Westfalia's than that and many more water cooled Westy's and EuroVan conversions, so we know people are van camping - where are the SMB's???

I better get busy downloading my pictures and starting a trip report or two.

Mike

Glad you guys are home safe. I'm looking forward to seeing your trip report. . . and to seeing you in October at the Valley of Fire.

Re: Where is everyone?

Nice trip Mike, you lucky guy.

My van is right here at home. Not that I'm happy about it, but the summer is too hot to go most places I like. I'm catching up on remodels and chores, and btw, I still work a job. Come fall, I'm out there in the cool air and colorful trees.

We r in Alaska. Check our blog. Theshunpikeexperiment.com

We saw one SMB up here. Grumpy fella that said GE rarely visits the forum. We were so excited to chat with him... he was just talking about how everything was "the end of the road"...

Oooh, oooh, I was the one in Jage's driveway!

Never been "sighted" before (not sure it counts...) Sure was good to have you. It's been a banner year with four SMBs stopping in so far!

Re: Where is everyone?

Hey, that was you! We were on our last push to make it home, good to see you again Mike, if only from a distance! We spotted about a dozen SMB's on our trip of nearly 4000 trouble free miles this last month to the pacific northwest via Utah and Idaho, and got to meet and hang out with a few of them along the way. Glad you made it home safe, despite your TF tank nearly dropping off :t4:
