Who took this pic and where is it?

I found this picture on this forum I think) recently and downloaded it because I want to go there someday soon. Now I forgot who posted the pic and have not been able to find it by browsing. I'd love it if the person who took this shot would tell me where it is and name the mountain, if possible.

Thank you!

Scott

Try http://tineye.com or Google's image search.

I'd been thinking the Canadian Rockies in B.C., but you're probably right, Jage. But I still hope somebody in here recognized their picture.

This image is halfway down the above page:

I read that years ago actual glaciers were there.

Re: Who took this pic and where is it?

Wow, I'm impressed, wvvan, nicely done! Which search engine did you use to do that? I tried a couple of other suggestions that did not work. With that origin I'm wondering where I really snagged that shot now, seems funny it would be on here since most folks only post there own shots.

Yeah, too bad most of the glaciers there has all but melted. We'll have to get our SMB soon and get up there before they are all gone!

Thanks again,

Scott

Nicely done? Pardon me but that is not the same image.

Scott, if you got it of this site, it must be attributed to a member here and that info surely would be on the page you bagged it from.

Re: Who took this pic and where is it?

Right mountain, probably shot from the same spot, but you are right, Jeffrey, they are not the same image. Good eye. I tried backtracking with my saved photo, but I renamed the photo and the "properities" shown for the pic only record that data. Oh well, at least I know where it it. A friend of mine worked there for a bunch of years and will for sure know the peak.

Thanks folks!

And just to end this, it is called Bearhat Mountain near Hidden Lake just south of Logan Pass in Glacier NP. A sat and map view shows the road where the shot was taken.
