The effing place is unreal. Brings tears to my eyes everytime I go there. Great pictures. Need to get my stuff together and hit the road again.

SPECTACULAR.

I especially love the night-sky shots.

Amazing how many planes fly over Yosemite at night!

Yosemite Time Lapse Video

Ran into an SMB guy near Tenaya Lake in October who said he was making time lapse videos. '08 metallic beige diesel 4x4. He had very fancy shoes.

Re: Yosemite Time Lapse Video

What an amazing video. I cannot keep from tearing up whenever I see things like this. I am amazed at the beauty of this earth and the universe. To me there is nothing more moving than looking up at the star-filled sky when boondock camping. We are very blessed to live on such a beautiful planet and to be able to get out and enjoy nature in our Sportsmobiles. I pity the city dwellers who have never learned to appreciate the outdoors. I have a friend here in Las Vegas, who grew up here, who has never been to Lake Mead, Red Rock Canyon or Mount Charleston, even though they are only 30 minutes away. He has never had the interest to get out and see the beauty that is just a few minutes from his front door. What a pity!!!

Mac,

One of the best places to see the night sky is Toroweap on a moonless night.

I swear the Milky Way was visible 30 minutes after sunset. It is a long way to the nearest light sources.

Why don't I remember it from our trip? I must have been too busy talking around the campfire and playing night bocce ball with lighted balls. I guess we need to go again so I can see it.
