Like every new styling launch, there’s some getting used to the look, esp the Tundra which hasn’t seen a major design change since ‘07, I like the TRD Pro with the blacked out bits

It's as close as we'll get to a 300 series in the states. Found it amusing they even used a 75 in the first few seconds - they're clearly aware of the small crowd of cruiserheads that salivate over the cruisers series we don't have.

If they ever update the 4Runner to get this twin-turbo V6 the new Tundra gets, I'd definitely be interested. Current drivetrain in the 4Runner is anemic and gets awful fuel mileage compared to similar vehicles.
I love the twin-turbo V6 in my F150. Absolutely trouble-free in 5+ years of driving, and it pulls our mountain passes like it was a diesel - no shifting down and listening to the engine scream at 4000 rpm. All while getting a hand-calculated 20.8 mpg overall since new.

Yep, the newer 4runner could use some de-uglying as well in my opinion. I haven't liked the last two generations.
I usually get used to stuff like this but the newer 4runners have been an exception.

Huh, just saw the payload spec - 1455 lbs. A basic slide in camper is something like 1100-1200 lbs, and a flatbed is usually 1300+. And those are dry figures. It's clearly aimed at towing with those power figures then, because it clearly isn't hauling enough to justify all of that torque. Pretty cool that it gets the coil rear, which I'm sure OME/Dobinsons/etc are already working on new springs for heavy loadouts.
A front bumper does wonders for the new tacos, 4runners, even the GXs. I'm guessing you could find a way to clean up the front end. Maybe. At least the grill isn't as big as the new full size GMs?
But oh man that dash in red. Yikes. The JLs pull off the red dash well, for some reason it just isn't working for me with the Tundra.

Saw a nearly new 70 series, double cab with a pickup bed, truck at work the other week. 
Almost made me want to be a car thief.
