Not John's work but the base. We have this Transit over here in Europe a Long time. All of those vans are quite ugly here. But the Transit has the top ranking. What a Bad decision of Ford USA!

Re: Aluminess-Quadvan-Transit
I would bet the vast majority of 4x4 vans are used by commercial users who want to move cargo/people reliably over snow or muddy ground, not the true off-road crowd. There's mom doubt that's the market most of the concerts will focus on, as that's where the money is.

Re: Aluminess-Quadvan-Transit
Hard to believe that's a 4x4. I need proof. I think it may be one of those FauxMobiles we see from time to time with just the stickers added for bling. Maybe it's a Faux by Faux!

I think you need a timeout for that one.

Re: Aluminess-Quadvan-Transit
It is not 4x4 yet. Kenny and the guys at Aluminess did a fantastic job working on what can only be described as a real challenge fitting around that body. The "Black" looks really good - the Transit, well I'm not so sure.
It will look better with the lift the 4x4 will require and some bigger tires.
Don't go selling your E-Series 4x4 any time soon they won't be going down in value.

Ugh, I agree. Hang on to those E series!

Re: Aluminess-Quadvan-Transit
Guess I was wrong. When he said he was done with it and Aluminess picked it up, I assume he meant done with 4x4. Must have just been some final measuring? Maybe I'll have to do drop in again soon and get the full scoop.
PS - I don't think it looks bad. There's some Transit vans at work now, and from 100' away they pretty much look like Sprinters. Still 100x better looking than the NV or Promaster.
My sister did have one for 10 days as a rental. It had the 3.7L and she felt it was completely inadequate for a 15 passenger van. She feels the same way about the 5.4L however.

I don't think it looks bad either. Of course that particular one needs bigger tires and a lift to match all the Aluminess goodies. I think it looks better than the newer Sprinters by far.

Re: Aluminess-Quadvan-Transit
There's a pic of the Quigley version of the Transit on Ford's social media account on Instagram. Just search for user FORD_SUZIE and you should see the pic. If not, let me know and I'll try to copy it and post it up here.
