Fantastic progress. I have to ask, after seeing the photos of your new air ride seats, perched on a skate board, did you try riding it while sitting on the seat?

You're gonna laugh but I did, lol. I couldn't find anything to move the seat to my shop so the skateboard came handy. When I got it going I couldn't resist trying it out! Tougher than standing though!!!

I believe that's a perfectly understandable attempt---I mean what red-blooded American male could or would NOT try?

The only missing of course is a video where the line "here watch this---hold my beer....." is the lead in!

Love it!

Morning Joe

Just to let you know i finally figured out my ABS issue so thanks again for your help!

Turns out the wires color code by the ABS sensor is reversed, took a while to figure it out but that's all it took to fix the problem, cut, switch the two wires, solder and voilą!

So into the next phase, electrical and plumbing roughing! I Also need to start building my poptop before getting too far ahead with the interior... but still plenty to do for now.

Cheers!
David

Happy New Year everyone!

It's been a while so why not a little update

Now that the outside is good enough I started working on the inside, the electrical and the plumbing.

Got pretty much all my plumbing roughing done, last piece of the puzzle will be the lines for the shower and the coolant lines from the hydronic but I have to build my benches first. So far, my 32g water tank is in place, water pump, Kuuma water heater, mixing valve, sink, filtered water outlet... as I said, basically just the shower to do.

Electrical is a little bit more involved. I built the cabinet to house it all, started running all my lines from lights, fan, outlets, etc to the box and will be starting the relays, fuse panels and all pretty soon.

And finally, the interior is slowly taking shape! Got both side of the rear bed built (covering the water tank plus storage). BTW, if you don't use duct tape in your build you're not doing it right I'll bridge the two boxes to support the bed. The woodstove cabinet is 1/2 built, the pantry at the front is done (just need drawer doors handles) and the Kuuma hot water tank/sink cabinet was just finished this week. Not sure if you can start to picture it but I think this build will turn out awesome!!!

Cheers
David

Also painted or stained/varnished all the cabinets as I went along. Much easier to do it now than later!

I'll be adding bug screen behind the shelfs in the pantry/outside storage so that I can open both outside/inside doors for extra breeze when needed.

Sorry for the side pictures, out of my technical control!

Continuing with the pictures, contertops in place, drawer faces as well (used some 100yrs old reclaimed wood from England!) and that's as far as I've got over the holiday break, can't wait to keep on going but the electrical will slow me down a little as there's quite a lot to deal with.

I also started building part of the poptop and the re-enforcement frame for the 3 points seatbelts that will be connected to the main rear bench.

Cheers!
David
