Disaster averted thanks to good people.

Quick little story,
I rode KLR 650 about 120 miles off road yesterday including about 15 miles of street to get to back country,
When I got home I realized I had lost my bag mounted on the rear of the bike

In that bag was
Wallet (with $200 emergency money)
Credit cards
Check book with my Balance
3 knives=$400
Eye Glasses $700
Snap on tools=who knows how much$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Camera=$600
2 Jacket's.$500
Smith & Wesson 38special. Gift from dad.
Spot homing device. $300
1 PB&J
Not having to explain to the wife=Priceless

Yep I was freaked out.
I jumped back on and retraced my steps Some of them twice you can see my tracks back and forth.
No luck didn't see it.
After almost throwing up I decided to turn it over and call the Police and report the gun Lost.
As soon as I got into cell service I called the cops.
The dispatcher that answered said Hi Ron you looking for something? (small town I know almost everyone)
Someone had found my bag and called leaving there phone number. 1 hour later I had my bag with nothing missing.
I tried to give him a C note but he wouldn't take it.
His name is Bill and he is my new best friend thank God or who ever you pray to for people like Bill.
I love Jackson Hole and the people that live here.
Shopping for a new Mounting system.
I carry so much stuff just in case I crash or something brakes and I cant get out.
I was riding alone yesterday.

No doubt it was some good karma coming right back at you. Always nice to hear about the good side of life for a change.

[EDIT: Wait a minute, how did you take pictures if your camera was in the bag you lost...?]

That's my favorite part of the story, and also why I love living in a small town. Glad everything worked out. That could have turned into a real headache, or worse.

This is what I use. They come with hooks too but I like the loops.
