Nice job and looks like good quality work

1. I used four 2" sheetrock screws and drilled a pilot hole first. There is a pretty good void between the inner and outer sheetmetal right around the edge of the windshield, but be careful you don't shoot a screw through the outer body of the van!!! Personally, i would recommend pulling your door gaskets down and pulling down on the edge of the headliner first and looking at how things are laid out up there. There are some awkward bends and what not which make getting a drill or screw through there quite a challenge. Also, you'll need someone to help hold your console up there while you attatch it. I was desperate the day I hung mine and cut a piece of 2x4 just long enough to wedge the console in place from the floor.
2. They don't turn to the side any more. I like having that feature in most cars, but with my tinted windows I never use them that way in the van. It's just impossible to mount them where they will cooperate on a flat surface. If you've noticed, the factory visors hang in the sheet metal at quite an angle which makes all the difference when moving them. Mine don't fold out that far anymore (without pointing WAY down) and they don't fold all the way down to the windshield either. Basically, I never use them at all but I didn't want to go without them completely.
3. No, rearview mirror if not compromised. I don't use that either as you can see, but the visors work fine with it when my Ipad isn't hanging there.
trade offs.........trade offs.......
