I think CarringB's dually setup looks better and more OEM!

An 8.1 liter gasser. That must be fun at the gas pump.

If only it has some nice, ridiculous, oversized, mirrors on it.

Re: GMC TopKick duallie van

I like Outsider's response on that site:

"The Outsider

I can just hear the conversation that precipitated this pointless mess . . . .

“Honey, I want to spend $100,000 to make our new van ride like a Class 8 semi.”

“Why? Will we be able to carry like 24,000 pounds in it?”

“No. Besides, your mom isn’t THAT FAT . . . .”

“Will we be able to bumper-pull a 50,000 trailer with it.”

“Uh . . . No. We’d need a fifth-wheel for that”

“Then what’s the point?”

“Well, it will make certain Bay State truck fanatics go ‘schwing’ . . . . ”

“Why didn’t you say so! . . . go ahead, mortgage the house and cash in the 401K . . "

Re: GMC TopKick duallie van

They couldn't even take the time to match up the rear fenders for the correct year?

I've spent enough time behind the wheel of TopKicks that I will never drive one again voluntarily. There's hardly a worse driving modern vehicle on the road. First time I made a new hire drive one, he refused to go over 35 on the highway and was convinced it had a broken speedometer. And if I had a dollar for every I had to pull-over and restart the truck to clear some limp-mode problem..... It actually made Windows seem like a reliable platform. There were some days I would have to re-start over a dozen times to re-boot the PCM.
