Got to use the truck claw!

I was up on Mt Adams yesterday again for some spring snow boarding with my sled powered chairlift. Getting the rig and trailer past the very off camber gate to limit the dry riding was pretty dicey. There was a tall pole that would have really damaged the side of my van if I had just driven up with 4x4 only. I tried several times and could have made it but the drift of snow was pushing me into the pole. I was also pulling a trailer. I slapped on the truck claws front and rear on the snow side. They worked great. Here is a pic and a video.

A note to capability of the sportsmobile: 4 other trucks and SUV's tried but could not make it up the road. It was steeper than it looked in the video.

We were rewarded with this:

Other than testing them for clearance when I bought them, haven’t had the need to pull them out - good to know they served you well!

Cool indeed. I haven't used mine yet either. Glad they worked. Thanks for posting.

Vandiesel. are those vents on either side of the hood of your rig, and if so, where did you get them?

thanks..

Awesome, looks like it was worth it! I only saw the left tire slip once when you paused before the pole. I assume no front locker? What about the rear?
