I Got Mine! '92 4x4 BIG top!

Well, I haven't seen it yet, but the auction just ended and i'm the big winner. Here i come 4x4 land. I think it was a pretty reasonable deal. It's a fair bit more money than some of the older pathfinders i was looking at, but it's the new body, it's low miles, it's got the Advanced 4x4 setup which should be a lot better than the pathfinder, and it already has a top on it high enough for me to comfortably stand in and build an upper bunk in.

Not sure, as soon as i can get down there i guess. I'll need to get the wife or a friend to drive down with me. It's about an 8 hour drive. Might not be until next weekend.

LOL! In the description the guy makes it sound as though it is 7'+ tall inside. I asked him for an actual measurement and it turns out it is about 6'4" to 6'5" interior height, so pretty comparable to a cruiser top i think (which was my ideal top).

Bill, i hope you don't mind, i borrowed some of wilson's goodies for visualization! By the way, it appears that my top is just a couple inches taller than the cruiser, almost the same size overall.

You found your van! Awesome - that rig is going to be fantastic. I think that you'll find that the extra $ outside your 80's era budget will be well spent. I'd love to go for a ride when you get back in town with it. Have fun on the trip home!
