Even the 285's were very close to the bushwacker's during a hard turn in full compression. After the Deaver spring install, I gained about 2+ inches of lift. I doubt I could have ran 315's W/O some solution (and there might be others). I still had to cut and move the fender flares back after putting the 315's on. Even now I have to be careful if I disconnect my sway bar. To tell the truth, the only real reason I did the switch to 315's was my van looked stupid after it went up a few inches while sitting on 285's. Tom's van looked so nice with them on I just had to go that route. Pretty sure his van also has Deaver springs.

Just curious if there is any tire size between the 285 and toyo open country 315's ?

I would love to get a larger size than 285 but without having to make any modifications to my existing set up. Would only had to trim the plastic bumper corner for 285 and remove the factory step and substitute nerf bars.

OR is 315 the next size up from 285's

I agree 315's look the part and leave the other sizes in the dirt!!!!

No,no,no, Jage sold me his 305/70/16's (33" x 12.5"). They have been unbelievably good in all conditions. They are the "in-between" of 315-285. I have put 25k on them and see another 5-10k left, plus Jage's est. of 10k before I bought them. So, a total of 40k. I rotate on oilchange schedule, every 5k, and they have not been balanced since I bought them... run smooth as ever.

I had to cut the little pinchweld thingy at the rear of the front f'wells and Jage sawed off a chunk of my OEM bumper to make 'em fit on a 4" Quigley lift.

I see big ol' pouty, whiny skirmishes on this forum about tire brands, yet never a report of failure from a Toyo MT... so I'll be replacing after our 6 week summer of '14 New England tour with the same tire. And, yep, they cost way more than the rest of the field. The best always sells for more
