Just bought what i think u guys call a "sportsmobile", did i get a deal?
Just got this "sportsmobile" off local CL I think it was a deal, but idk. You tell me? I paid 14,500 pre-tax.
2011 E350 with 49k miles. Solar panel and rooftop a/c. Single house battery with 1000w sine wave inverter. A bunch of other stuff i dont even know yet. 120v fridge. What do you guys think?
That’s a very good price IMO. Not sure if it’s actually a Sportsmobile (which is a van converter), but the interior build looks like one. Usually they will have pop-tops, or occasionally an extended high top. Either can be retrofittted if you want to stand up, for about $12-15k (pop top) or a bit less for a fixed top. With a pop top and your interior build, year, and low miles your van would easily be worth in the mid-30s or possibly even 40s in today’s market.
Glad you guys think it's a deal too. It was an old man that did this conversion in his garage. He was an electrician and even provided a wiring diagram. He did really good work it's great, but it's not setup for off grid well like I'd like.
If i add some more solar power, more battery, and a way to mount a little honda genny on the back door it will be perfect.
AWESOME! If I have sd it once I have sd it a hundred times....
any van is good van! So I took what I could get, yes I took what I could get, and it looked at me with those big headlights and said, " You aint seen nothing yet....."
