Re: Lucky

Finally got around to installing my northleftcoast underfloor storage. It took 2 hours, including painting the steel sheet metal and bracket cuts.

I started emailing back and forth with Sam over a year ago when I was going to build out my old van.. and after buying a new van, his welder dying, then him moving, we finally touched base and he knocked one out for me.

Sam was super cool, easy to do business with, and it's beautiful!

(custom depth, so that the trailer hitch hangs about half an inch below the box, hopefully preventing box from dragging offroad)

(I just drilled a finger hole, works perfectly as a handle and doesn't prevent anything from sliding over it)

(now, what to put in it?)

Re: Lucky

Thanks for the update, the install looks really great!

It's hard to know if things will work out OK when taking custom orders via email. It's really nice to have feedback (with photos) that show the design, build, and install went as planned.

Happy trails,

Sam

Sort of.. It's necessary to cut out the spare tire holder, which I reckon acts as sort of a cross member...

rallypanam,

Are those bikes, Honda 110cc Postie type bikes in the middle back of the photo, in front of the tree?

Here in Oz they are Australia Post delivery bikes.

They are! I've got two, a 1971 CT90 and 1984 CT110.
