Re: Lucky

Finally got my new (used) iPad mini nav setup (almost).

After seeing arctictraveller's setup, I decided I wanted something similar, but with iPad mini as opposed to iPad. So I sold my old iPad, bought a new (used) mini, and bought a flexible mount. Wired up two chargers through a USB behind the console (we have two iphones to charge, in addition to the ipad), and hooked it all up.

I like it!

Still need to GPS bluetooth jobby for better accuracy, but so far so good.

With some custom mounting to a steel plate bolted to the console.. the small metal plate that comes with it didn't cover enough surface area and was bending the plastic of the console.

Re: Lucky

I like the mount. This is the GPS I've been using, it worked first time out of the box...................

That looks way more secure than what you had before. Nicely done.

Re: Lucky

Nice Rob.

Arctictraveller, that's pretty cool. Give us some more feedback and a price if you don't mind.
