My Basic Model

This should be a fun forum! Who doesn't love to show off their baby?

I am retired and slightly disabled, so I wanted my van to have nothing that requires maintenance or winterizing. Hence, no water or holding tanks, no propane system or generator.

What I do have works fine for me for now: it's a 2003 E-150 Ford RB, Contempo top with cabinets on one side and a shelf on the other, house battery with 30-amp service, a fixed bunk with lots of storage under, a kitchen cabinet sink with a direct hookup and a drain out the side (I run a short hose into a bucket when I have water supply), slide pantry, plenty of lights, a 2-drawer cabinet and a custom-designed hamper-nightstand. The front passenger seat turns and has a reading light over it.

Here's a picture of it in Nickerson State Park on Cape Cod:

That's a great looking campground! I love to see "Vans in the wild"... come to think of it I've still never seen a real photo of a Sprinter in the wild...

Good looking rig in a nice location. You're using your retirement years wisely.

Nickerson, what a beautiful park. We spent our honeymoon on the Cape back in October 98. Stayed in a B&B about 5 miles from Nickerson and have been back several times.

Enjoy retirement.
