My Sportsmobile is now in Africa but without me.

I sold my van to a guy named Dietmar many years ago. Thought some of you might be interested to see what he did with it and where it is now. It was even featured in a German expedition magazine when he finished with a renovation.

An introduction video of Dietmar and his significant other:

Dietmars website where he talks all about the van and his very extensive remodel:
Fahrzeug (VAnGO und seine Vorgänger) - Dani und Didi in Afrika

Enjoy,
tom.

Cool, thanks for reminding me of that photo. That was a really cool night running around with my nephew taking all kinds of strange pictures. Don't know if I told the story, I ran in an arc towards him with two iphone screens pointed at the ground while he did the timelapse. If you look closely you can see my feet or legs blocking the light. I was at that same dry lake bed this year. Still the same and still covered with .50 caliber bullets.
And yes, I do miss the van from time to time. It was a good one. I'm so glad to see that it's still being enjoyed.
