Re: NEW OWNER!

How's your SMB holding up? I'm looking for one in my price range and it seems I will be getting a 92-94 model. =)

Re: NEW OWNER!

Thanks for checking in! It is holding up great. 90,000 miles currently.

Most maintenance has been preventative and probably due more to o.c.d. than necessity. Fuel filter, new all terrains, oil pan gasket, fuel system flush, trans fluid flush, a couple of oil changes in the first 5k simply bc I didn't know how long it had been sitting, tinted the windows and I think that's it. Prob could use shock.

Note, this thing was in pristine condition and actually found it at a repo dealer so we basically stole it but regardless, plan on putting $1500 into something that old out of the gates. We did a hair more but have been running out to remote parts of WV and I just didn't feel like entertaining any surprises.

Let me know if you have any other questions but we love it so far. Have a son on the way also and I know he'll love it too!

PS Keep your eyes peeled on CL and do some national searches. I have seen plenty I would take a flight for and drive it home if we didn't have one already. We found one for a buddy in OH and flew up there one day and drove it back. '89 on a Dodge chassis for $4500.

Re: NEW OWNER!

I know there were some requests for interior shots ages ago. Had our first kid a few months ago and forgot to get around to it. Here are some new shots...

And the outside cleaned up...

I'm sure it will rain within 24 hours now that it's nice and clean.

Re: NEW OWNER!

PS Does anyone know where to get a cover for the place in the floor where the table leg attaches? It doesn't appear dangerous but I can't remember a time when I haven't destroying a toe or my whole foot at night after the boots come off.

Re: NEW OWNER!

Fabulous shiny clean lines, and I like the striped fabric interior. Good Luck with your great van.

Re: NEW OWNER!

You might be able to buy the cover from Sportsmobile. I would call them and see if they can sell you just the cover. Great looking van!

Floor base cap at camping world...

http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/it ... -cap/57504

Otherwise, do a google search on "table leg floor base plate cap" and it came up with some options and some images you might be able to link from.

Re: NEW OWNER!

And the new wheels are great looking. If I had that van I'd never take those stripes off. I think it makes the van.
