Re: New Project Tercel SR5 4x4 wagon

I love it! I had an '84, same metallic blue color. 63 hp, white painted steel wheels, and got close to 40 mpg. Mine didn't have the cool plaid seats though, and I only had the 5-speed (maybe sporty plaid seats means you got the 6-speed). Man, I loved that car! Only 4WD I've ever had ... it was great (I lived in snow country). I only sold it because I was out of the US and it was just sitting. Had about 280k on it then.

Good times

Re: New Project Tercel SR5 4x4 wagon

my buddy calls these atm cars...he thinks the rear hatch resembles an atm, lol.

i have the honda version of your soon to be car. best 1700 bucks i ever spent. ive laughed more in this car than i did in my high school car...and thats saying something. we bought ours specifically for rallyxing, but its turned out to be a great overall car for just about everything. like stated above, its off road capabilities have amazed me, as well as a few jeep owners, lol. the looks and comments we get from "real" 4x4's when we pull up places this stupid little car shouldnt be are priceless.

i just bought a towbar for ours. specifically to pull to and from events, cause all racecars eventually break down (no matter how unmodified) hoping to pull it to a few camp spots too. i figure it will hold a ton of crap in back and it can double as a rack for our mt bikes

keep us posted on this little car. id love to see what you do with it.
