New To The Fold INTERIOR!

Just thought a new thread might work out.

My anticipation of completion was huge. The finished result (for me) equals my original visions.
The idea was/is a convertible interior, changeable for different needs.
And with no offense to anyone, not a filled up interior.
Simplicity for me!

So here are some pics of my interior & configurations.
I have additional pics for curiosities sake. I'll get 'em in my gallery.

Cut in window apprx size of factory slider, with angled forward edge.

Fold up bed. Tight! Virtually no loss of room. Single or double berth.
E track for multiple tie down options. Tire chock comes out too.

Fridge, removable! cabinet w/potty & microwave.

Electrical goodies and my version of a heater.
So far these ceramic heaters work well although using a lot of power (its used on the floor out of the cabinet).

Looking in through the slider!

Proper flush table fitting...

And cabinet out, 4th seat in, and a full size m/c in too.

Here is the responsible party.
Rob the salesman (pictured), Sean the awesome fabricator who understood my vision and made it into reality. Sean is good.
They have a good welder/fabricator of aluminum to keep things light.
The owners Greg and Litch (sp?) are good folks.

Van Specialties is the place! Located in Portland Or. A viable alternative.
...Yes a plug!

Awesome! I love the simplicity

what are the aluminum "C" channels just below the bed hinges for?

Re: New To The Fold INTERIOR!

Thank you.

The beds have folding legs for using singly.
I have aluminum cross bars (as originally designed) for the full width bed.

Re: New To The Fold INTERIOR!

The E track is bolted through with silicone sealant used. I will have a 2nd wheel chock in soon too.

I am making a cordura nylon bag for my cross members. They will hang underneath the C channels on the passenger side and thats where my hi-lift jack will hang also.
Its its hard to keep it simple.

Re: New To The Fold INTERIOR!

chimed in to send congrats on the build and also thumbs up to any who may follow in your footsteps to Van Specialties. My wife and I are also pleased with the job they did helping us with our build so far.
Happy Trails!

Re: New To The Fold INTERIOR!

Nice, can we see the microwave stand out, and also the 4th seat location without the microwave or the seat?

It's awesome that you can have rear seating with the bikes in.

Re: New To The Fold INTERIOR!

Thanks jage and accrete.
I'll work on additional pics. Theres always more angles!
The seat base fits neatly under the base of the cabinet.
I am trying to fit a 250 dirtbike next to the bike already there - not sure yet if I can do it.

More details to be done to finish off the interior.

Re: New To The Fold INTERIOR!

Do you know the brand of the table floor mounting plate and leg? The common zinc die cast ones are becoming almost worthless. The zinc wall thickness is maybe 2/3rds of what it used to be and they do not hold up. Yours looks like a great design.
