On the road again

I got my van back on the road after letting it sit for 5 years. Its a 1992 E350 Club Wagon 5.8L. It sure feels good to get back behind the wheel. This picture was taken in Sandy Utah with Little Cottonwood Canyon in the background.

Good to see it rolling! Congrats!

What did you need to do to get it in driving condition again after having it sit for a while?

At least you're behind the wheel and its moving! Cant imagine owning mine and not using it for that length of time...a month or two already tests my emotional resilience.

The fuel pump and the Computer failed. The serpentine belt tensioner pulley and belt needed replaced. New batteries and oil. After sitting that long it passed smog on the first try. I'm putting some local miles on it to see what else needs a little love after being neglected for so long.

I had someone drop the tank to replace the fuel pump. The tank needed flushed and cleaned. After I watched that process I cut a hole in the floor so the next time it needs a pump it will be easier to do

Mine’s been sitting for two years now thanks in part to covid!
Any suggestions on where to start? I am determined to get her going again this year!
