Our "new" SMB
Here's our new to us SMB. It's a 2002 RB with Quiggley conversion. The previous owners bought it new and had fun with it. Now it's our turn. We've named it "VanBearPig" because it's 1/2 van, 1/2 bear, and 1/2 pig! (any 'SouthPark' fans??...)
We look forward to seeing you all on the road. Moab next week, Oregon after that, then Alaska this July!!
peace,
Bob, Amy, and the mighty monsters of mayhem (our two dogs)

Re: Our "new" SMB
Welcome Bob. Sounds like you're already making some great plans.
You realize of course you can't just get by, by just posting one teaser pic. We need a lot more pics of the exterior, interior, and the dogs!

Re: Our "new" SMB
The toyo's are 295/70-17's (not sure about the '70', might be '75'). When I bought the van it needed tires and as per the forum here, I bought the toyo MT's in an 'e' rating. They're quit as an MT can be and really stiffened the truck up. I'll need to add shocks and deaver springs sometime.
I haven't ventured off road yet but put 5,000 miles on them in the last three weeks. Happy so far.
Here's some more pic's of the "mighty monsters of mayhem"
Iris is the white one and Daisy Mae is the other.
peace,
bob

Re: Our "new" SMB
Looks good Bob... is that a factory Ford color? Looks purple.
Also, did they scratch off or remove the HELLA logo on the light covers somehow?
Cool rig man, congrats

Re: Our "new" SMB
I believe it's a factory color. I had an '84 F-250 with the same color. It's dark blue with a subtle metal flake. I've got a buddy who does autobody and custom motorcycle painting and he said he take a look at it an see if we can break up the blue with a stripe or graphic.
The hella logo's have appeared to have faded off. Up close you can see the outlines. I thought about replacing them but thought, "why should I, they aren't paying me to advertise and it might lessen the theft invitation".
Thanks for the compliments! We are excited to explore our country and the rest of the world.
Bob

Here's an interior shot of VanBearPig featuring the "monsters" taking a break from creating mayhem. More to follow...
