But keep in mind that Coon Creek and Bear Creek Summits are usually closed by snow till July. This year it might even be later...I live here in northern Nevada and check the Snotel web site often. Right now that area is reporting the snowpack is 120 - 130% above normal for the year. That's a good thing in that all the stream will be running water. It's also a bad thing because when the heat hits and the snow starts melting in earnest there will be a lot of washouts.

What's the best time for each season (spring, summer, fall), taking into account rainy season for mud, etc? Looks like great area. I was in some part of Owyhee's after the Deshcutes M&G last May/June - near Owyhee Lake I think (?) - forgot to log it. Thanks -
