Here's the box I had made. With the propane tank I was limited on space. Its not pretty, but is functional. I ditched my Kuat rack for the North Shore Rack. In my opinion the best rack out there, especially if you need to clear rear bumper swing outs.

Peppy…

I was killing some time this morning before we head over to Crested Butte and I saw some Deaver coils and that FL room for the awning…figured that was you and then saw this old post. I love all the changes you're making to our old van…can't wait to see it after the Ujoint 6" kit…pretty soon my daughter won't even recognize it as the old "Hello Kitty Van". That light setup is sweet! Definitely missing that big fridge!

Great to see pics of the changes and I do like that North Shore rack…looked into getting one, but doesn't seem like they work with road bikes. We put the big Kuat on the new van…I figure when it is in the folded up position, it's an added protection from that 37x13.5 breaking the spare tire rack and coming off.

Re: Picked up a 2000 7.3l Sportsmobile

Thanks Nate. I'm having fun working on it. Hopefully that big 37 won't break off on ya.

I've been doing a few things while waiting on the springs for my ujor kit.

Installed a Glowshift 3 in 1 gauge:

Almost finished installing my Extremeair onboard air system. Still have some wiring and routing to do. 2 gallon tank is inside the van.

Just picked up a couple of Recaro Sport seats. They have adjustable lumbar and seat cooling in the base. They also fit my size 28 waist a lot better. Working on adapting them to the swivel bases right now.

Also pick up a Go Power 1500w pure sine wave inverter. My electronics were not happy charging with the current modified sine wave. Added a 4in Diamond Eye turboback. The exhaust shop had to completely modify and weld it to get it to fit the extremely full underbody of my van. Picked up an F5 chip from DP Tuner with a 60hp mountain daily and 80hp daily tunes. The 80hp definitely makes some black smoke, lol.

I might head to Crested Butte this weekend. I'll give you a shout if I do Nate.

Re: Picked up a 2000 7.3l Sportsmobile

New seats are in. Took us a while to make them fit, but the brackets we made lined them up perfectly. The rails give me 4" of travel front to back and the seats are raised up a little higher than stock. It's great to have lumbar support and side bolsters! I'm going to pick up some 80mm computer case fans for the seat bottom coolers and wire those up to a switch.

Re: Picked up a 2000 7.3l Sportsmobile

It's all done! Huge thanks to Chris at Ujoint for putting up with my calls and questions. He kept me up to date on everything and delivered an awesome kit. Couldn't be happier with the work Jeff and his team at Built to Last in Durango did installing my kit. This was his 3rd Ujoint conversion and he knows what he's doing.

I've put 620 miles on it so far and the difference between it and the Quigley both on and off road is very noticeable. No more death wobble, steering feels more direct and sharper, the ride is firmer but takes potholes and sharp edges so much better. I took it on my least favorite washboard gravel roads and my silverware didn't even rattle. It's not cheap, but this is how 4wd conversions should be done on these vans if they are going to see more rough terrain.

Here's a few quick pictures.

Looks great! Getting ready to dig into my de-quig as well. What wheels did you end up going with, haven't seen those before - it's the 6" kit I'm guessing? How much higher did things get from the orig Quigley setup?
