Serious question: When you’re in another Country, can you depend on the fuel to be up to par? (not sure if your van is diesel or gas). I’ve wanted to do the top of North America to the bottom but was warned that the gasoline is cr*ppy is some areas and I’ve heard stories about people breaking down due to bad fuel... I wonder how much truth there is to that and how much long distance travelers need to worry/prepare...

In spite of the name a lot of places in that national forest are pretty devoid of shade, however this wasn't one of them. We had it mostly to ourselves this weekend.
