We had a good time bouncing around the Trails of Pike, San Isabel, and Pike National Forests for a few weeks.

Private geothermal hot tub site at Benton Hot Springs. Very dark sky, comparable to Death Valley to my eye. Nothing quite like soaking and looking at the stars.

Thanks! That's the original 30 year old SMB Texas paint job. It's a solid 50 footer but the clear coat is flaking in places.

Found myself completely alone in a NorCal forest for Labor Day weekend. Couldn't have planned it if I'd wanted to.

Glad you found a nice remote spot away from the crowds. With so many national forest areas closed in California I figured the open spots would be busy. Good time to visit the coastal regions or anywhere open with no smoke or people.

Good for you. I'm feeling a little hemmed in by this Covid-19 resurgent activity.
I'm more of a National Forest, desert man and they have been taken away.
Can only hope for the best. Probably going to head for Utah.
