Pyramid Lake NV

I just got back from a week at Pramid Lake NV. It was nice to get away. The weater was good to great and the fishing was really good. Pyramid Lake is a very beautiful and quiet place with very few people especially this time of the year.

Very nice pictures and glad to hear you had a good time. What kind of fish is that (I love catch and release)? Also, it is it developed campgrounds there, or more camp where you want?

It is a Lahontan Cutthroat Trout. There aren't any camp grounds. There are Porti-Potties at some of the more popular beaches but they were removed from the east side of the lake near the Pyarmid. There is a small general store and fuel station (less than $4 a gal for diesel) on the west side of the lake near Crosby Lodge. It is only 40 miles to Sparks with many food and fuel options. The lake and land is tribal land so you need to get a fishing license and passes for camping when you arrive at the lake.

There's a great drive from Pyramid Lake to Susanville. Summer or winter.

I have been across that drive. I do alot of Chucker hunting East of Susanville. It is amazing how beautiful the area is. I have seen many deer, analope, and wild horses. Despite looking barren there is alot of wildlife in that area.
I have followed the expedition portal.com for awhile and the journal.
