Re: Sheriffdoug's Sportsmobile
G'day,
Arriving in the U.S. 22nd June 6.30am, then fly to Fresno arriving 10.30am for briefing and handover at SMB West.
Pickup some gear & food, Walmart & others, then up to Plain, WA for NW Overland Rally, 25-28th June.
SMB West is an Exhibitor at NW Rally, so if I have some questions, they and other attendees can help me.
Would like to meet up, if anyone interested, after NW Rally and before NATCOA Rally?
Then after Rally carefree meander across Northern US States, seeing various sites, attending NATCOA 10th Anniversary Rally at Garden Of The Gods, Colorado Springs, CO, 22-26 July.
Returning to Australia 30th July, departing Los Angeles to Australia.
Vehicle will be stored at Asheville, NC, till next part of our U.S. Journey from lower East Coast to Upper NW Coast.
Cheers, Doug.

Re: Sheriffdoug's Sportsmobile
Saw your van up at SMB West a while back. You're gonna love it! Hopefully Glacier National Park is on your itinerary. We hit there for the first time last September & can't wait to get back.

Re: Sheriffdoug's Sportsmobile
Keep a thread updated with your travels, so we'll know where to look for you! We will be in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and possibly Alberta/BC, from mid next week to the third week in July with our 2WD white SMB with blue stripe on the side.

Re: Sheriffdoug's Sportsmobile
We are about 20 minutes from Sportsmobile Fresno. Let us know if we can help with anything when you're here. We have hired camper vans in Australia and have a Sporty here just returned from Sedona, AZ.

Any relation to Kerry Packer?
I'm still 50/50 on the NW Overland rally but I am not far away, if you need any help while you are in WA just sing out.

Re: Sheriffdoug's Sportsmobile
NW Overland Rally, Plain, WA.
Look for the Aussie wearing his Les Dibbens Akubra hat.
I'm also bringing some Australia made Footballs to show you all our national game, with an
oblong leather ball without pointy ends. We'll all have a few kicks.
Aussie Rules, is a game were you either kick the ball or hand pass to another player in your team,
to score goals. This is a contact sport, you can mark the ball in the air and run with it or mark your ground, every body gets a kick.
See you there, Cheers, Doug
