That's in the Utah Canyonlands (Moab). It's part of White Rim Trail I believe.

Yep. Murphy's Hogback is on the White Rim Trail in Moab. We did it on bikes over three days with sag wagon support but make sure you get your reservations in for the few available primitive campsites well in advance! They fill up VERY quickly!

We've spent 3 days in White Rim Canyon last year. Awesome place!!! Got really lucky - just showed up at the ranger station and somebody canceled 3 nights reservation. Otherwise it a pretty long wait list to get camping permits.

White Rim

Since its a limited use area, they only allow so many overnight guests on the Rim. Also, they dictate where you are allowed to set up camp, in this case, campsites are an unfortunate necessity.

The good thing is that campsites in White Rim are nothing like campgrounds in more civilized areas - they are very small (3-4 sites at one spot), very spread out and very primitive.
