Re: Snow handling

A little late here but I use the Terra Grappler in an E rated size (285/70/17).
Great snow traction with the many sipes/tread designed in.
I am going to an E rated Toyo MT in 295/70/17. I hope for a good tire.
My Terra Grapplers have had an ongoing balance problem - they do not stay balanced.
They have been balanced at least four times in 34K mikes!
It could be the 'street lock' Walker Evans rims that may not hold a balance. Not sure.
Strange issue.
Anyway when I rotate tires I always get a vibration, front or rear, depending.
It seems to be a certain pair of tires.

I am so sick of bouncing tires - I never can go over 65 smoothly.
I hope its the tires, and a fresh set of Toyos solve the problem.
Its reassuring to hear most like the Toyos.
I will also go to 4.56 gears so my V-10 will pull better, as the factory 4.10's are better suited to the stock size tires the Ford van comes with (like 28" diameter).
