Crap, that looks nasty. Brings up an interesting point about the electric rails though, do they have some kind-a torque limiter on the motors so you don't break/bend things if you are in a situation like that?

I'd prefer them to have REALLY strong motors to be able to lift the van out of that situation.

Yes they do. Sorry for the delay, forgot that I posted this pic! They will also stay in the "down" position if there's any pressure on them when closing the door.

This happened just south of La Bufadora, Mexico. Our friend got to close to the edge and it just gave out. I was behind him and couldn't get around him to pull him our. Luckily a local saw us from the road that you can see in the upper left of the photo. He went at least 30 minutes out of his way to help us out. Then he invited us to camp on his ranch where there was a good surf break.

He did not get stuck but was put in the right spot at the right time to get a Karma payback.
