Re: The Yeti (My first Post as a SMB owner)

I picked the dual ARB over others for the on-off switch/pressure switch and size. I do not have a ton of room under the van, so wanted to save space. I may add a tank later, but I am happy with the speed of airing up during my test. It is night and day better then the small portable one I had. We just need to get out and test this thing.

Re: The Yeti (My first Post as a SMB owner)

Had a quick trip up to Sedona with the wife (trip report under trip reports). I few things I think I need to work on:

1. Wife thought the penthouse bed was too hard. I use a sleep pad when I am by myself, thinking memory foam pad cut in two might be better.

2. The Starcool is loud, but worked surprisingly well, but need to find a way to have one duct come up to the penthouse.

3. The compressor worked great. It took only 15 mins from the time I stepped out of the truck until I got back in (40 psi to 65 psi). This included fighting the air caps that I sprayed plastic dip on and storing the hose. I do need a new tire inflator attachment. Mine does not have a clip on the end so you must apply pressure the entire time and I have to stop airing up to see pressure. I can see it being less then 10 min for the whole process with these changes.

Other then those things. I Love This Van!

Thanks PlayOutside. I have been watching your post as well. I dig the color of your van. It is fun to see how others do things.

Re: The Yeti (My first Post as a SMB owner)

Dropped The Yeti off at Strictly Diesel today for the EGT gauge, Transmission cooler and transmission flush. It seemed like a great shop. I call several other shops, talked with a person and SD was the only one to follow up and knew exactly what I was wanting. Should have it back tomorrow or Thursday. We will see.

Re: The Yeti (My first Post as a SMB owner)

I live in Phoenix, so heat is always an issue. Driving around town the TFT would hit close to 200(it is 108 outside). It was a relatively inexpensive addition for additional piece of mind. Plus have a trip planed to Colorado then Yellowstone so will be climbing.

Re: The Yeti (My first Post as a SMB owner)

Well that sucks. They just called and No work will be done. They could not mount the gauge on the pillar because of the handle, Said Transmission cooler would not fit and because of that I may not do the flush. I am going to have to find someone that knows these vans.

What about the BulletProof diesel guys in Mesa? Not sure if they do regular maintenance stuff though.

Re: The Yeti (My first Post as a SMB owner)

Bulletproof sent me to a shop that did not call back. We work out a solution by going with the Edge CTS. I like it. I now can monitor EGT and have an alarm. I will watch TFTs on a trip I have coming up. Trans Fluid look good so no flush. I just need to find a great place to mount it.
