Now, I've never met Herb and he was giving me a hard time on multiple threads. The comment was all in good fun. I can take it as well as dish it out.

As for the "blemish" on my wheel, I think all 4 have similar ding. Some worse, some not soo bad. I hate these rims partly for that reason. Those little bolts catch on every boulder I skim past. Hopefully I'll have the coin for new rims when I'm ready for new tires. If I stop backing into trees I should be good (that was for you Herb!).

Look on the bright side, at least the bottle opener isn't damaged.

I love the use of the van as a "press". I don't believe I would've ever thought of that one.

Re: Vented Rear Windows .... I always wanted some!

Just a quick plug for Aluminess. I finally took the van down to San Diego last week and had Dave's guys (Nick? & ? .... I'm terrible with remembering names) repair my swing arm. After looking at it for a while, they came to the conclusion that cutting the two upper pivots off, "re-aligning" the lower pivot and welding two new pivots on should bring everything back into alignment. After some cutting and tacking the new pivots in place, I left the swing arm with them for a few hours. When I came back, it was finished. They re-mounted it, added a new support they have designed to help more heavily loaded swing arms and I was on my way.

I can't say enough good things about my dealings with Dave and his company since I've owned my van.

Hopefully next time I go down there is for one of Dave's roof racks and large rear box.

Now, if I can just not back into any more trees I'll be good!
