We did a short weekender into the Mt Hood Forest over the 'summer' solstice with a LOT of snow still on the mtn. Some of our favorite remote camping spots that lie on or around wilderness area boundaries were still inaccessible due to snow. But the mtn was a glorious site as always.
Ironically, we came across a pair of SMB's, climbers heading back into the Barlow District along Road 44. We stopped to chat briefly and I talked up the Forum. The guy said he'd been here and Yahoo too, and being as we werent too far from the Gorge I said..."Hey wait, Deminimis, is that you?". The guy sort of looked puzzled and probably wondered what I was talking about. Besides, I think Deminimis's EB is Silver and this was one of those light metallic green rigs, his buddy a white RB. It occurred to me we should have Forum cards made up to exchange in these situations, think its been discussed before but cant recall what happened to the logos someone had done.

later that evening, from the poptop near the Mark O Hatfield Wilderness. If anyone is looking for a CB antennea mounting option that doesnt involve drilling the roof, here's how I did mine...
and then sunset from this same location....
