Why not roll the van into the seacan on crappy short tires and rims with the 6" lift already done? Change them out to the big donuts and hit the road.

Hi.
I believe the old dash was sent away, scanned, scan reversed in computer program and a one off mould was made. Main part of dash is fiberglass and was hot dipped in some sort of grey rubber/dash colour compound. Eagle Automotiive convert allmost any American car/ truck to right hand drive. They have clients from Japan, UK, Australia, New Zealand. They build Right Hand Drive parts and sell around the world. Corvettes, Mustang, F250/350, Chrysler, Hummer, vintage or new. It's big business.

Fascinating.....guessing a 3D printed pattern from the scan, then a silicone rubber mold...or maybe some other way......that's a large part.

Doug,

We want to bring our van down to Oz and NZ for a 6 month to one year walkabout, then ship back out (we would not be importing), are there any restriction you are aware of?

Wow! That is a lot of work. I remember you mentioning the approach of shifting the engine over 1.5" and thought about all the drive line mounting mods that would be required to do that. I am always impressed by the ingenuity and commitment of the Aussies and Kiwis!

Wow, fascinating thread. Hoping to see more pictures as it progresses.

It appears the wheel well hump is removed from the passenger side... I guess you can do this because of the suspension lift? Are there any clearance or articulation concerns?

The dash looks like it's urethane off of a rubber (silicone) mold...that is a huge part for that process...amazing stuff

Can't think of any way to do a single prototype any other way.

I will email Eagle Automotive NZ tommorrow and ask them.

They send me a progress report, every week, will let you know.

Cheers Doug.
