ARTICTRAVELOR,

Doug.

It couldn't have been easy to get out the back with the aluminess stuff getting in the way. I wonder if they just pushed it in driverless and then chained it down?

G'day,

Been a long time since last post on this thread.
Have rebuilt front suspension with 3 leaf parabolic spring pack.
Added 2 extra leafs on rear, so, vehicle now sits at 6 inch lift.

Eros(vehicle name) arrived in Fremantle, Western Australia 16th Feb, 2016.
Took 10 months to get Federal license approval and final state registration
10 days(they were most helpful).

Currently installing 2nd awning on US Drivers side, a Darche 270 Batwing,
and on the front, may use a Camouflage net, 1.5m x 2.0m for extra shade on longer trip stops.

Installed Sherpa 17000lb winch, Yellow Rock lights/great at night, no bugs.

Had a problem with Right Hand Drive/RHD Conversion, the overflow water bottle cracked,
They had cut a hole and reglued piece in reverse to make space, cracked within first 200kms.. Have had an Aircraft repairer build new purpose made aluminium coolant reserve, is a piece of art.

Vehicle should be ready for first trip 2-4 weeks time for 40th Wedding Anniversary.

Cheers Doug

Glad to hear you are finely licensed and ready to roll in WA.

Have been watching Ronny Dahl’s 4 Wheeling Western Australia YouTube channel. WA sure is beautiful.

Congratulations on your 40th.

Hi,

Image of radiator overflow expansion tank & old tank cut and glued that failed(very poor work), and recent images of frontc& rear of vehicle.

Last time I posted, this is what happened. Got annoyed, couldn't be bothered.
Only happens from mobile phone, not laptop. Why, how do I fix?

Cheers Doug

Doug, Your on the bottom half of the world, what did you expect? Actually, that happens to lots of folks, and despite lots of discussion about it, the only way I've seen is to import your photos into a program like Photoshop or what ever, open them, rotate around a bit, and then save again. Somehow that seems to keep them oriented correctly when posted. As for your de-gass bottle, I'm surpurised that after the quality of the RHD coversion, they would do something like that. Glad it didn't end up overheating your motor............

Doug, I like Larrie watch Ronny Dahl's channel. Your van would be a great addition to his "Modified" series I would think should you be interested. I know all us van geeks would get a huge kick out of it and I'd be the Aussie crowd would appreciate its uniqueness.
