Great trip report and beautiful pictures, I agree it is a beautiful slice of the world.

By the way, I have also bumped my 4x4 shifter out of gear and had a moment of panic
The good news is that I suspect neither of us will worry too much the second time it happens.

Great write up Ray. I would have seen you up there but changed at the last second to take a Nor-Cal coast trip...maybe I made a mistake but I was in the Yellowstone area in July so the decision was somewhere new to me. I had the same problem with my diesel heater in Wyoming not fireing but found the problem was the high altitude switch. Tell us what you find on your furnace. Fantastic pictures!

Yellowstone as well as Banff/Jasper are tentatively on our SMB itinerary for 2009 (as well as Vancouver Island, Whistler, and both E and W halves of Oregon and Washington).
