I'm seeing lots of familiar faces there. Wish I could have made it. Looking forward to more pictures.

Thanks for putting this meet and greet together Mac. Looks like it was a good time.

I would like to report that the YURT is alive and well. I now have two new batteries and battery cables. $305 total. Didn't charge me for the cables.

It turns out that the batteries were completely shot and corroded over, so much so that they had to cut the cables off because they couldn't get them off. I don't understand how the SMB started without any issues for almost six years and then all of a sudden, no juice. Wouldn't even jump start.

The Ford dealer couldn't get to it for a while and then had problems getting the batteries down from between the rails and the cables off. I didn't get the SMB back until late. By then we decided not to drive the 9 hours on Friday, spend one day and then the 9 hours back on Sunday.

Kris and I wish we could have made it but better to have issues in Pocatello than somewhere along the way.

Great pictures Mac.

Mike

Laura and I had a great time, thanks to Mac for putting it together, ditto to all those who attended.

This was our first experience with the SMB group (we won the prize for newest member) and for all you newbies out there, we can only say get involved! Great people, all with a common theme of "get out there and do it"!

We went on the Bitter Springs Trail Back Country Byway drive on Saturday (six big experienced Fords and our brand new Sprinter 4x4) and had a great time. Four hours on a 28 mile trail knocked some of the new off the Sprinter and gave us a chance to see how it performed off the pavement. We have had five other 4x4's over the years and I must say the Sprinter did well for itself. A serious rock-crawler it's not, but it handled this trail well and in the process we got to test out the new skid plates underneath!

Here is a picture of the group taking a break for lunch.

Macmacintire, 12 impressive rigs and all those peeps +critters is a great turn out! I'm really jealous even tho it's a long drive I def want a t shirt some day

I am not totally convinced what kind of effienciency expert you are with all those rigs listed in your signature ...?

Nice to see the faces and smiles behind the forum handles- also to see who the major fun-hogs in the group are! Did you hand out door prizes for the most toys, most tech, most shiny, most gritty SMB's?
