Wow! Finally enough snow to get 1der Girl and Me on the road!
I cannot believe we are in the second half of February and we have not been on the slopes anywhere this season! Our Mountain Collective Passes (MCP) for this season are just screaming at us to get used. The last two seasons we have had a blast doing this and have spent six weeks each season skiing and all but about six nights in Beastie. Agile 4WD, CCV top, Espar Heater, 300w of Solar, hot water, insulation, lots of food and a great layout plus compatibility make it lots of fun. (prior trip

So, tomorrow is the planned day of departure for our third annual ski trip.
First stop is Alta/ Snowbird / Snow Basin in SLC, UT. The MCP divided up Alta and Snowbird this season providing 2 days at each instead of two days combined. They also added Snow Basin so we have six days of skiing right there in SLC. We are figuring nine days in SLC so we have a couple of down days and not skiing six straight days plus allowing some flexibility for weather.
If anyone has a driveway they can offer up for us even if for a couple of days, or a suggestion for a overnight spot, we would appreciate it and make sure to make it worth your hospitality! We do not need any hookups, just a space to park and pop the top.
After SLC, around March 6th, we will cruise over to Telluride and Aspen and visit with friends and get some days in at those mountains. Telluride looks across at the Coors Beer mountains, has some great skiing and our friends have lived there for 40 years. They know ALL the hidden runs. Aspen is four mountains, each is separate. We really like Highlands, and we may get some days at the other mountains as well. Kind of the same deal in Aspen with longtime locals as friends who know the secret runs.
After we sadly leave those two areas and friends, around March 13th,we will head up to Jackson Hole and then Sun Valley, if the snow conditions warrant going that way. 1der Girl wants to check out Dinosaurs on the way north, that should be fun. We also have our snow shoes!
Mammoth is usually a safe bet late in the season and we will likely be there around March 24th (earlier if JH and Sun Valley are not worth the drive).
If Tahoe has any offerings on the way back from Mammoth, we will pop in there. Squaw Valley allows overnighting in one of their parking lots and it is a wonderful place if there is good snow.
So, if any of you are heading up to any of those places, please give us a shout and lets see if we can connect for a few runs. Yeah!!
