Take it any way you like. I don't intentionaly camp someplace already populated with off roaders and their "noisy toys". If that's your deal, I have no objection. My issue is with those who have no respect for anyone else by coming into a remote place with their toys and acting like they own the place. It's really simple. The only way you will know I'm nearby is if you see me. If you pay me the same respect I'm a happy camper. If your bike "don't run right with a muffler"...get a tune up!

Unexpected music at full volume at 7am is never a pleasant camping experience. As I know from experience you can't judge people (or the strength of their base) by looking at their campsite, nor do you know who might pull in later in the evening.

HEY !... Those would be great for the tailgating setup !

Nope. We definitely missed that option.

We opted for a small panel just inside the small side door where we have a switch to turn on the rear door speakers, an amp, and two speaker jacks o the same small panel as the switch. ...and there are two small outdoor speakers to plug in there. This has worked pretty well for tailgating. I don't think we have used the external speakers except for tailgating.

...but we prefer the quiet too. We always try to be respectful when camping around others or not.

Re: 47th Annual Desert Safari in Ocotillo Wells, CA

Well, we decided to head out this year. Loud or not (ive heard its not as crazy as it used to be). We are looking forward to seeing some old 4-wheeling friends. Going to flat to the TJ out there and play around during the day. Maybe see if we can find a spot away from some of the crowds. It should be exciting thats for sure. Last time i was there was 2003. See you there Dave and Travis.
