Thanks Mike & Kris, aerial work is my favorite part of our business. I try to get up every couple weeks or so.

Re: 9 Day working road trip to San Fran from San Diego

Finished up the three day building shoot and headed back to the RV resort. Had some dinner and a few beverages while backing up images and hit the rack. Woke up late as the sun was already coming up when I opened my eyes.

I was on a tight time schedule this day trying to get an aerial flight in late afternoon that takes off in Watsonville.

Headed down the road after getting an enormous cup of coffee and only made a few stops all the way down to the Santa Cruz area.

Saw a lot of wildlife in this section and most interesting was watching two coyotes hunting pelicans on the beach. Shortly after that came across a bobcat hunting mice in an open field. Would have had some great images of him as he was slowly walking towards me as tourist tore of the road above me and across the field I was in.

wow! The coyotes are a little more common, but that bobcat is a pretty rare site indeed! Nice Shot!

Re: 9 Day working road trip to San Fran from San Diego

Made it into Santa Cruz late morning and drove along the coast road till I saw a gathering of surfers. Looked like a good spot to pull over for a few minutes.

Opened up the door to get out and almost got high walking through the parking lot from all the second hand smoke….

Good times….

I had an aerial flight scheduled but the weather was not looking good so I continued down to the Monterey/Pebble Beach area. Those images coming next.

Re: 9 Day working road trip to San Fran from San Diego

As I mentioned above I was hoping to get an aerial flight in this day but the weather was not working out the way I wanted so I headed into the Pebble Beach area for a few hours. Grabbed a few quick pics along the coast and ended up at the famous tree before sunset. Had a great time in the area and crashed out boon dock style in Carmel for the night.
