Did you think what could happen id the tire blow up? The energy contained in a tire is huge, you just might be dead, a lot of people died doing that. Security recommandation are to stay as far away as possible of the tire when inflating. Nevers stay above it, never touch it with any part of your body and ideally install a longer hose between inflator and valve to stay further away...

I blew up a tire on my mountain bike once. It destroyed the rim but luckily didn't break anything in my hand that was holding onto it. That was several years ago and I still have a ringing in one ear from it.

Camped with a guy last month that had one. Tried it out and it was great. Gonna have to pick one up.
