A week in Yosemite (no pictures)
Amazing, we saw more SMBs in this week than we have seen in 2 month trips before. 14 to be exact!
We saw 4wd, 2wd, EB, RB, Ford, Dodge, Chevy, Penthouse, Raised roof, Factory roof. The most unusual thing was what looked like an aux fuel tank on the rear Aluminess bumper of a dark green SMB in the Curry Village parking lot.
We managed to hike to the top of Yosemite Falls, Nevada Falls and bike another 20-25 miles around on trails. The water was running as strong as I have seen it. Spectacular waterfalls.
Funniest thing we saw was a big rig (semi-trailer) at the Hwy 140 entrance. He had driven through a 45' max detour, ignored the 'No Commercial Trucking through Yosemite' signs, and expected to take it through Tioga Pass (still closed by snow). He couldn't go past the entrance because of a big rock the stops tall vehicles. It looked like he had enough room to make a U-turn, but he couldn't manage after the rangers stopped traffic for him. I think I could have made the U-turn, and so did the ranger we talked to. But, he couldn't do it. So he sat there waiting for what, I don't know.
