Abajo Mtns., Utah short trip

We headed out again to Utah for a short 3 day trip. This time we went to the Abajo Mts. north of Cedar Mesa near Canyonlands. It has been pretty hot so we stayed up high and enjoyed the great temps. This was more of an exploratory trip for future adventures and we put on a lot of miles for 3 days.

1st nights camp spot on Little Dry Mesa

The little hellion Azlo,

The accidental bike snag, at least my wife was the one that broke something this time! Luckily the incident only ruined an $80 bike tray and not a $4000 bike. eek!

Nice photos & report! Bummer about the bike, but better the tray than the bike getting damaged.

Great pictures, sorry to hear about the bike accident although it doesn't sound too bad. When did SMB start offering the awning bonsai tree option?

I hope your wife was driving! What's great about Abajo and the La Sals is not a lot of people head that way.
If Utah was close to the ocean we'd move there tomorrow!

Regards,

Keith

Yea, although we live in Colorado we spend most of our recreation time in SE Utah. It's a huge, beautiful area with at large camping and very few people.

We like camping up behind the Bear's Ears.
